The new Ford EcoSport combines quality, affordability, and comfort into a subcompact crossover SUV body. As it turns out, the compact model creates what Ford is calling “EcoSpots.” Thanks to its concise design, the 2019 Ford EcoSport can slip into tight parking spots that are too small for competitors.
The Ford EcoSport measures just 161.3 inches in length, setting it apart from competitors by at least half a foot. For comparison, the EcoSport measures six inches shorter than the Chevrolet Trax and seven inches shorter than the Mazda CX-3. Ford’s compact crossover even measures 8.5 inches shorter than the MINI Countryman.
Although the 2019 Ford EcoSport is shorter than rival models, it boasts more cargo space than other small crossovers. 29.0 cubic feet of trunk volume expands to 50 cubic feet when you fold the backseat flat.
Efficiency is where this crossover shines, however. It achieves 27 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.* Auto Start-Stop technology further enhances fuel conservation when the vehicle stops at a red light or during heavy traffic. The system automatically turns off the engine when the vehicle isn’t using it. Once the traffic light turns green or traffic clears up, the engine automatically turns on again.
Test-drive the 2019 EcoSport for yourself when you stop by North Brothers Ford.
*EPA-estimated city/hwy mpg for the model indicated. See fueleconomy.gov for fuel economy of other engine/transmission combinations. Actual mileage will vary.
