Grow familiar with a relatively new public space in downtown Detroit with a Riverfront Walking Tour. The Downtown Detroit Riverfront is still in progress, and once finished it will offer a 5.5-mile paved trail from The Ambassador Bridge to Belle Isle Bridge. Take the tour to learn about things like the Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre, the Central Business District Skyline, and our local public art installations.

Springtime Artist Market

This free, all-ages event invites you to browse the booths of over 50 local artists and crafters. Find unique art for your home, gifts for friends, and other must-have items, all made locally. The Springtime Artists Market takes place on April 18, 2020, from noon to 6 p.m. at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center.

River Through Time and Civil War Days

Each Memorial Day weekend, Coldwater, Michigan hosts their River Through Time and Civil War Days event. Both adults and children will be engaged at this educational historical reenactment, which looks at events from the 1600’s Voyageurs/Fur Trade Era to Vietnam. Enjoy hands-on activities and interaction with historical reenactors and leave knowing more about the area’s history.
