Ford Shows Off the 2021 F-150

There’s a reason that the legendary Ford F-150 has been America’s best-selling pickup for more than 40 years running. It looks as if the automaker intends to extend that legacy, as its recent reveal of the 2021 F-150 showcases updates to performance and versatility.

If raw power is what you want out of a pickup, the 2021 F-150 might just be your dream truck. Its brand-new 3.5-liter PowerBoost hybrid V6 powertrain option can reportedly belt out more horsepower and torque than any competitor, and is expected to launch with a towing capacity of at least 12,000 pounds.

Ford’s engineers weren’t content to stop at peerless capability, though. Instead, they equipped the 2021 F-150 with an onboard generator geared towards running countless tools for your next big job or DIY project. You can choose from either a 2.4-kilowatt output or a 7.2-kilowatt one, depending on your needs.

As evidence of Ford’s never-ending drive to raise the bar, the F-150’s chief engineer, Craig Schmatz, said, “We see it as our duty to deliver not just what our customers want and need, but what they might have never thought possible.”
