3 Ford SUVs Make US News’ List of Most Fuel-Efficient Hybrids

Ford has a strong lineup of high-quality, fuel-efficient SUVs that can save you money on fuel. The U.S. News and World Report released its 12 Most Fuel Efficient Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid SUVs list for 2021, recognizing three Ford SUVs, with one of them earning the top spot. The Ford Explorer Hybrid, Ford Escape Hybrid, and Ford Escape PHEV are all smart choices for your daily drive.

The 2021 Ford Escape PHEV was named the most fuel-efficient plug-in hybrid SUV for 2021, with an all-electric range of 37 miles and 102 MPGe range.* Even though it’s not available yet, the Escape PHEV is highly efficient and perfect for busy commutes since you won’t have to fill up the gas tank very often.

The 2021 Ford Escape Hybrid earned an overall score of 8.3/10 from U.S. News and World Report. With a 2.5-liter four-cylinder and single electric motor, the systems combine to generate 200 horsepower.

The 2021 Ford Explorer Hybrid also made the list thanks to its fuel-efficient performance. Its powerful 3.3-liter V6 engine and electric motor components generate 318 horsepower and 322 lb-ft of torque. The Explorer Hybrid also delivers impressive capability, towing up to 5,000 pounds when properly equipped.
