The future of Ford trucks has arrived, and it’s an exciting one. The 2022 F-150 Lightning is an all-electric pickup that delivers outstanding power, capability, and technology — along with zero emissions and confidence inspiring range.
Powered by a pair of electric motors and boasting standard 4×4, the F-150 Lightning is expected to deliver a massive 563 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque. It should also be able to haul a 2,000-pound payload or tow up to 10,000 pounds. Making the F-150 Lightning even more capable are a new independent rear suspension and a military-grade aluminum alloy body.
The F-150 Lightning lineup will include two battery options: one with 230 miles of range and the other with 300 miles. You can charge the system from 15 percent to 80 percent power in just 41 minutes. The truck’s batteries also allow you to run household appliances with Ford Intelligent Backup Power or plug in power tools and portable electronics with Pro Power Onboard.
Other exciting F-150 Lightning features include a roomy and high-tech front trunk (or “frunk”), Onboard Scales to help you measure payload weight, and a 15-inch touch screen with new SYNC® 4A infotainment technology.
The F-150 Lightning will arrive next spring, and we can’t wait to welcome it here at North Brothers Ford in Westland, Michigan.
