Ford is making a key addition to the lineup for the new 2022 Ford Explorer. If you’ve always loved the style of the awesome Explorer ST but don’t need 400 horsepower, the all-new 2022 Ford Explorer ST-Line is just what you’re looking for.
The latest addition to the Explorer lineup, the 2022 Explorer ST-Line boasts the same aggressive, athletic, and awe-inspiring looks of the high-powered Explorer ST. You get 20-inch machined aluminum wheels and a blacked-out grille and headlamps on the outside and Ebony Black ActiveX™-trimmed seats with Miko® inserts and sporty red accent on the inside.
It’s still plenty robust, too, thanks to its standard 2.3-liter EcoBoost® V6, which puts down 300 horsepower. And just as nice is the price, which is $7,570 MSRP lower than the Explorer ST.
Speaking of the Explorer ST, the 2022 model will now offer rear-wheel drive as the standard. Intelligent 4WD is still available as an upgrade, but this change to the lineup serves once again to make the 2022 Ford Explorer more affordable for all.
“Four-wheel-drive capability is great if you need it, but if you don’t, you shouldn’t have to pay for it,” said Ford Explorer Marketing Manager Lee Newcombe. “These changes to the Explorer lineup were guided by what our customers told us they wanted.”
